1 handmade green fig beeswax candle.

Why We Love It

It is molded from a real fig, hand-poured from 100% beeswax with no paraffin or synthetic fragrance, and handmade in Los Angeles. A tiny low-tox swap that also supports a local California maker, which is exactly how we like to shop for our food, too.

A Note About Seasonality

Figs typically ripen in Southern California from summer into early fall, when market tables are piled high with them. The candle, of course, is in season year-round.

A Note From Ema

I always say small, consistent swaps add up, and that goes for the home as much as the kitchen. An unscented beeswax candle with a short, readable ingredient list is one of the easiest places to start, and a little green fig makes it a lot more charming.

Perfect For

Thanksgiving tables, place settings, fall centerpieces, kitchen windowsills, low-tox homes, hostess gifts, and anyone who counts down to fig season.

Care Instructions

General candle care: trim the wick to 1/4 in before each burn, burn on a heat-resistant dish, keep away from drafts, children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Storage Information

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sun.

Meet The Maker

Happy Organics was born from three generations of beekeeping, a tradition that stretches back to Michoacán, México, and continues on the family's farm in Merced, California. Inspired by the family's roots in farming, their realistic fruit and vegetable candles are hand-poured in small batches and handmade in Los Angeles. You may have spotted them at Anthropologie and MoMA. This green fig is cast from a real fig from the family's farm.
