MARKET MAMA, EXPLAINED

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Market Mama produce boxes, farm-fresh eggs, bouquets, ordering and Los Angeles delivery.

Ordering

Do I need a subscription to order?

No. Market Mama produce boxes, eggs, bouquets and market goods can be purchased as one-time orders. Subscription options may also be available for select products.

What is the minimum order?

A $30 minimum purchase is required for local delivery.

Can I send Market Mama as a gift?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s delivery address at checkout and include any necessary access instructions. Gift cards are also available.

Can I use more than one discount code?

Discount codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated otherwise. Only one eligible code may be applied to an order.

Produce boxes and sourcing

What comes in a Market Mama produce box?

Each box contains a rotating assortment of seasonal produce selected around what looks and tastes best at the market that week. Exact contents vary with the harvest and the box size selected.

What is the difference between a produce box, farm box and farmers market box?

These terms generally describe the same kind of seasonal produce assortment. Market Mama uses all three because customers search for them differently, but every box is sourced around the Southern California harvest and delivered locally in Los Angeles.

Is everything organic?

We prioritize produce grown with care by Southern California farmers and growers we trust. Farming practices and certifications vary by producer, and product-specific sourcing details are shared whenever available.

Will my box contain exactly what is pictured?

Product photographs show the style and approximate abundance of each box. Contents change with the season, market availability and harvest quality, so reasonable substitutions should be expected.

Eggs

Why are Market Mama eggs unwashed?

Our farm-fresh eggs are left unwashed so their natural protective coating, commonly called the bloom, remains intact. For full handling and storage information, visit our egg guide.

Will all of the eggs be the same color?

Shell color varies naturally by breed. A carton may include white, cream, brown, blue or green eggs depending on farm availability.
