Avocado Beeswax Candle

A simple low-tox swap: 100% beeswax, no paraffin, no synthetic fragrance, and phthalate-free, third-party tested dye. It is also handmade in Los Angeles, so it supports a local California maker the same way our produce supports Southern California farms.

Avocados are grown in Southern California for much of the year, so there is usually one ripening on someone's counter. The candle, of course, is in season year-round.

As a holistic nutritionist, I think the easiest changes are the ones that feel like an upgrade, not a sacrifice. Choosing an unscented beeswax candle with a short ingredient list is one of my favorite little swaps at home, and this one is fun to look at, too.

General candle care: trim the wick to 1/4 in before each burn, burn on a heat-resistant dish, keep away from drafts, children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sun.
